Piper Companies is seeking a Network Engineer for a major enterprise based in San Antonio, TX. This role involves supporting the US Department of Defense (DoD) and requires on-site presence in San Antonio from Monday to Friday. This is a long-term contract position.
Responsibilities for the Network Engineer:
- Design and implement routing and switching solutions to support defense operations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive defense information.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Requirements for the Network Engineer: - Over 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- Proficiency in routing and switching technologies such as iOS XE, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree, and IPv6.
- Experience with iOSXR
- CCNA/CCNP certification is a plus.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Compensation for the Network Engineer: - Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000.
