Description The Breast Surgery APP will be responsible for providing independent clinical care assessment; patient care management services, and serve as first assist in the operating room to members of the breast surgical oncology team for UCLA Breast Surgical Oncology Westwood and Santa Monica. The APP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care, and make appropriate referrals. Perform and document comprehensive history and physical examinations on pre-operative and post-operative patients. Primary responsibilities will be in the outpatient setting and operating room. Manage medical care of new/established/return/post-op patients in collaboration with the attending physician. Act as a liaison between patients and physicians as well as administrative staff and physicians in medically related situations. Review and interpret all diagnostic data and formulate a plan of care in collaboration with the assigned physician and other members of the medical staff.
