Weekend RN Unit Manager Location: Dearborn Heights - 26001 Ford Rd., Dearborn Heights, MI, 48127 Job Summary The Weekend RN Unit Manager is Part Time and is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring that quality patient care is provided on weekends. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
This Position Requires 2 Years in Supervisory Role. Previous Long Term Care Experience Required. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and manage the nursing staff on weekends
- Ensure that patient care is provided in accordance with established standards and protocols
- Assess patient needs and develop care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
Qualifications - Current RN license in the state of Michigan
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a supervisory role
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
Physical Demands The Weekend RN Unit Manager may be required to stand, walk, sit, lift, bend, and reach. They must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds. They must also be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Work Environment The Weekend RN Unit Manager will work in a healthcare facility that may include exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and other risks associated with patient care. They may also be required to work weekends and rotating holidays..
