What you will do:Do you have HVAC experience? We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard.Journeyman must be skilled craftsmen in their trade, and we prefer a minimum of five (5) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC plumbing, pipefitting and/or mechanical equipment service industry. You may be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to your special skill.Repair equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that exceeds customers' expectations. Be proactive in refrigerant leak checking and repairs.Perform refrigeration/HVAC preventive maintenance checks in a timely manner as assigned. Monitor and log refrigerant usage within assigned stores.Participate in company's "on call" after hours emergency call program. Assist with trouble shooting problems. Complete equipment inventories as assigned. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. What we look for:RequiredRequires Mechanical Journeyman status from the Local 486 hall.5+ years of residential / light commercial /commercial HVAC / mechanical troubleshooting experience.Valid driver's license, appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants, boiler and steam operational & service knowledge.Good verbal and written communication skills.PreferredExperience with supermarket rack systems, display cases, self-contained cases, ice machines and walk-ins highly preferred. Journeyman qualified in refrigeration and HVAC systems, or equivalent work experience. EPA certified for refrigerant handling class I & II, or universal.
