Job Overview:

We currently have an opening for an on-call Clinical Dietitian to join our Portland, OR team. Implements a clinical nutrition program to provide high-quality nutritional care for patients, and to meet staff education needs. Assess patient needs, develop and implement nutrition plans/programs and evaluate results.

Schedule: On-Call

Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year

Compensation range: The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education.

Responsibilities:

Assessment of patients learning needs, barriers to learning, preferred learning styles, and educational level, religious, cultural, and ethnic factors to provide nutrition education accordingly
Accurately calculates protein, calorie, and fluid requirements to meet age-specific needs of patients
Identifies age-related factors that may influence nutritional assessment
Is knowledgeable of therapeutic diets and demonstrates the ability to use our diet manual as a resource
Identifies appropriate enteral products and supplements to meet patients needs
Collaborates with the patient and/or family member, and healthcare team to assess nutrition and education needs of patients

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor Dietitics or Food & Nutrition Science
  • Dietitian license in OR
  • COVID-19 Vaccination

Preferred

  • 2 years experience in pediatric clinical nutrition
  • 1 year experience in orthopedics
  • 1 year experience in hospital setting
