The Center for Advanced Surgery, Colorectal Division of The Oregon Clinic, is seeking a full-time colon and rectal surgeon to join our growing practice. The six surgeons that make up the colorectal group, Mark Whiteford, MD, FACS, FASCRS; David O'Brien, MD, FACS, FASCRS; Rehan Ahmad, MD, FRCS; Amanda Hayman, MD, MPH, FACS, FASCRS; Maria Ximena Kiely, MD, MPH, FACS, FASCRS & Rodrigo Pedraza, MD, FACS, FASCRS, provide surgical and nonsurgical treatment for colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, pelvic floor, and diverse anorectal pathologies. Our physicians are regional and national leaders in surgical quality and advanced minimally invasive techniques, as well as dedicated teachers and researchers.
As integral leaders of the Providence Cancer Institute, our colon and rectal surgeons lead the highest volume rectal cancer program, and the only NAPRC-accredited center, in the state. Our group participates in numerous clinical trials, as well as a robust multidisciplinary tumor board. Our colorectal division serves as faculty of, and the main site for, Oregon's only ACGME-approved colon and rectal surgery fellowship with 2 fellows/year. Emergency department call is limited to colorectal only.
CAS Colorectal is a dynamic group of physicians and staff dedicated to meeting the needs of our patients whilst enjoying the amenities of the beautiful Pacific Northwest and Portland, Oregon
Call coverage 1:6. Week on at a time, with reduced schedule during the call week. Salary starting at $250,000 a year.
Competitive compensation based on productivity. Ownership track typically after 2 years.
Requirements: - Board certified/eligible in colon and rectal surgery
