Position Overview: As a Primary Care Physician, you will play a pivotal role in managing and improving the overall health of patients. You will provide comprehensive care, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care, while fostering long-term relationships with patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough evaluations, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care for patients of all ages.
- Preventive Medicine: Offer preventive care services, including vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle counseling to help patients maintain optimal health.
- Chronic Disease Management: Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, and work with patients to develop effective management strategies.
- Patient Education: Educate patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to empower them to make informed decisions about their health.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure compliance with all regulatory and documentation requirements.
- Community Involvement: Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs to promote health and wellness in the Kansas City area.
Qualifications: - Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure: Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Active medical license to practice in the state of Kansas
- Experience: Previous experience in a primary care setting is preferred, but newly graduated physicians are also encouraged to apply.
