Job Summary:
SPL is growing and is currently looking for an Account Executive in Denver or Colorado Springs, CO. The Account Executive must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position will be responsible for developing new business while sustaining and growing existing business relationships within a defined geographic territory.
Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve assigned lead generation targets for new environmental testing opportunities;
- Maintain and grow existing customer key accounts;
- Manage and provide ongoing client support;
- Develop & implement client relationship management strategy;
- Communicate with key clients to monitor client expectations and satisfaction;
- Identify new business leads and contact prospective key clients to environmental testing services;
- Perform ongoing industry and market analysis for the defined geographical territory;
- Research, understand, and document the territory competitive landscape;
- Assume extreme ownership, leveraging territory service team(s) (Ops/Lab Managers, etc.) and corporate resources (Executives, Marketing, C-Suite, etc.) to open new opportunities;
- Successfully manage sales transitions for all projects to PMs and location managers;
- Provide supporting documentation and tracking using Sales tools (Salesforce.com, etc.);
- Utilize LinkedIn to track contacts, connect with new leads/opportunities, and support SPL brand recognition each week;
- Support the retention of existing business as needed;
- Maintain monthly presence in SPL's Environmental Labs within the territory;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Environmental industry experience as well as experience selling professional services preferred;
- High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com).
Education: Bachelor's degree from a four (4) year university.
Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements: Minimum of twice per month to remote areas of the assigned territory to meet with prospects, existing customers, and partners; Occasional travel for regional and industry events as well as overnight travel is also required.
Work Schedule: This is a fully remote position based out of Colorado that will work 8 hours Monday-Friday. This position is subject to after-hours and weekend availability to meet deadlines.
