Job Description
Summary: Provides production support and technical expertise to all CNC machining operations including process adjustments, troubleshooting, setups, and programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with production planner and Production Supervisor to help prioritize and plan CNC machining tasks based on production requirements.
  • Run production to backfill operators as needed.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Complete machine set-ups and process adjustments in a timely manner to maximize productivity and ensure that all CNC machined parts meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with Quality team to approve first articles, monitor in-process quality, and ensure quality standards and processes are upheld.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve quality, machining, and equipment issues, including process adjustments, basic machine diagnostics, PM's, and repairs in collaboration with Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Collaborate with engineering on machining process development, process improvement, and fixture design to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Manage inventory of cutting tools and machining supplies, and orders items as needed.
  • Identify training needs for the CNC Operator team and provide ongoing training and guidance to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure that safety procedures are followed in all machining areas.
  • Performs PM's as scheduled and ensures that all machines are properly maintained.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.

Education:
High School Diploma and completion of an approved 2 year technical CNC/machining, automotive training program, or equivalent. 4 years prior experience in a manufacturing/machining environment, preferably in the automotive industry. Experience in CNC machining including setup, operation and fixturing preferred.
