Utility Technician (Hydro Services) Purpose: The BSMH Utility Technician is responsible for maintaining the facilities, structures, campgrounds and property associated with the project.
Description of Duties: Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performs maintenance to the property by lawn mowing ,vegetation control , brush cutting, and clean up work, painting and general clean up of grounds and
- Performing maintenance to the property during winter months including snow removal and ice precautions
- Maintain roads/right of ways to penstocks, pipelines, transmission lines, Chilhowee campground cemetery and Magazine Branch campground, trails and other properties in and around hydroelectric facilities, including minor repairs, maintain and install
- Perform general cleaning and painting in powerhouses and on properties in and around hydro electric
- Perform PM inspections and routine repairs as necessary on utility
- Operate equipment necessary to complete the maintenance work safely, including zero turn mowers, blowers, small electric and non-electric hand tools, and others. Keep such equipment in good working
- Maintains thorough knowledge and adherence to the provisions of the HSSE rules applicable to the work
- Perform other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, assisting with maintenance work, powerline inspections, Monthly inspections related to the classification, and other administrative tasks required
- Maintain logs, reports, work requests, or other records of
- Perform minor carpentry work, small concrete jobs, repair and maintain fencing (excluding installation), manually rake intake
- Familiarity and use of all tools associated with repair, maintenance, fabrication and installation of all equipment in the
- Operate as necessary, forklifts, trucks of various kinds, dozer, backhoe, tractor grader, frontend loader, chipper, skid steer with grinder, JLG, man lifts, boats, chainsaws, weed eaters, pressure
- Performs PM's and minor maintenance on the above equipment. Maintains company- owned equipment, but is not responsible for leased or rented equipment maintenance or repairs.

- Rigging for over-the-road loads, small scaffold
- Carryout prearranged operating instructions in time of
- Haul materials, tools and equipment necessary for operating, maintaining, repairing and improving the hydro electric developments between facilities and from/to local supply vendors as needed (except deliveries).
Minimum Entry Requirements: - Possess a valid TN or NC driver's license
- Able to wok outdoors in all weather conditions
- Working knowledge and adherence to the provision of the HSSE rules applicable to work performed.
- Working knowledge of tools and materials used in the performance of the above
- Strength and endurance to perform the above duties and do heavy work under all
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with
- Flexible availability for extended hours, weekend, holiday and evening
