SCHEDULE: Full-time; 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
The Nurse Navigator is the first point of contact for patients and families and provides comprehensive coordination of care between internal and external clinical staff, providers and their patients, from preadmission through discharge.
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Pursues continuing education and takes personal responsibility for keeping abreast of current issues and ideas. Two years' experience in clinical nursing required; BSN preferred. Previous case management and/or nurse navigator experience preferred. Previous working knowledge of health insurance preferred. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be detail oriented for coordination of multiple facets of patient experience. Shows creativity and agility to adapt to change.
