Schedule: Full Time - 3 office days a week and 6-7 calls per month. Call is 24 hours minimum with a total of 73 calls per year. Join the team of 7 physicians, and 4-5 other midwives! What You'll Do Performs independent nursing acts consistent with CNM's specialized knowledge, judgment, skill, training and education without medical supervision or delegation as authorized by the Missouri Nurse Practice Act. CNM will enter into and maintain a collaborative practice agreement with a physician licensed to practice medicine in the State of Missouri. Under such agreement, the physician delegates to the APRN authority to deliver health care services and treatments, and to administer, dispense and prescribe drugs which are specific to those clinical conditions he/she is authorized to treat. The CNM is authorized to provide health care services that include the management of normal obstetrical care throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, making necessary gynecological and obstetrical judgments in collaboration with physician. The CNM may manage high-risk obstetrical patients with physician consultation and/or co-management.
Requirements - Certification by the ACNM.
- Current Missouri Advance Practice Nurse licensure as a Nurse Midwife according to MO State Board of Nursing
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.
