Salem Health & Rehabilitation Center has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Manager, RN in our 210 bed skilled rehab center in Salem, VA.
We are looking for a motivated leader who is well organized and ready to manage our skilled nursing unit. The candidate should be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with not only floor staff but also the interdisciplinary team; the ability to multitask; strong clinical background/willingness to learn; ability to have end of life conversations with patients/family members; dependable and a team player. The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. This unit provides care for our most clinically acute patients and residents. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.
Requirements:
•Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
•Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
•Nursing Management experience preferred.
