Location: Island Pond Health and Dental Center, Island Pond, VTNorthern Counties Health Care (NCHC) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice primary care in the beautiful and serene Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive primary care, including health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.Document patient care in a problem-oriented medical record.Order and interpret diagnostic tests in alignment with clinic protocols.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including mid-level practitioners.Participate in a rotating schedule for after-hours on-call coverage.Contribute to the development and implementation of community health education initiatives.Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to mid-level practitioners.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited medical school with completion of a residency program in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics track.Board certified or eligible and licensed to practice in Vermont.Experience in a primary care or community health setting is preferred.DEA license appropriate for scope of practice.Why Join Northern Counties Health Care?At NCHC, we strive to be the best healthcare employer in Vermont.
