License: Current Occupational Therapist license or eligible for licensure
Certifications: CPR certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support (American Red Cross-CPR for the Professional Rescuer) or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider) certification obtained within 90 days of employment)
Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy; a Master's of Occupational Therapy is preferred
Job Description:
- Evaluate patients and develop specific treatment programs tailored to individual patient needs according to professional occupational therapy practices.
- Plan and implement effective therapeutic interventions and strategies to aid patient recovery or improve daily living skills.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and at-home activities to enhance therapy outcomes.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities to remain current with industry trends and practices.
- Provide support and mentorship to other healthcare professionals and staff as needed.
- Uphold standards for safety and quality in accordance with healthcare regulations and guidelines.
