Our client is a leading food company. They are looking to expand their team by hiring a Quality Assurance Director (Ready-to-eat products) .
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$130k - $140k Depending on level of experience.
Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Director (Ready-to-eat products) will oversee the plant's Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs, ensuring full compliance in all areas. The Quality Assurance Director (Ready-to-eat products) must possess extensive knowledge of food manufacturing processes and experience with ready-to-eat products. The Quality Assurance Director (Ready-to-eat products) must have strong leadership skills to build a robust department, enhance existing programs, and develop innovative initiatives to support continuous improvement.
Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Director (Ready-to-eat products):

  • Implement QC policies, procedures, and directives to meet company, customer, and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead and manage the plant's SQF certification program.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee the HACCP plan and serve as the primary liaison with USDA for inspections.
  • Establish and maintain quality control systems/programs and conduct reviews, perform validation studies, and oversee GMP, HACCP, and SSOP issues.
  • Utilize total quality management tools to enhance analytical and reporting processes across departments.
  • Investigate customer complaints, implement corrective actions, and document resolutions.
  • Partner with vendors to verify that all purchased products, equipment, and materials meet established quality standards.
Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Director (Ready-to-eat products):
  • Proficient in computer skills, data analysis, and operating food-processing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of food quality control processes.
  • Expertise in quality process control systems, HACCP, SSOP, and SOPs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of USDA and FDA standards and regulations.
  • HACCP and SQF certified.
  • Skilled problem-solver with the ability to identify and resolve problems providing alternative solutions.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in ready-to-eat products.
