Pay Range: $19.07 - $29.56
The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.
Communicates with insurance companies to verify and receive authorizations for scheduled services to patients. Performs such clerical duties as answering phones, faxing, typing forms, filing, registering patients, ordering and logging daily patient work, and mailing of reports when required by physicians or insurance companies. Obtains signatures on the appropriate forms for insurance, consent, and department purposes. Functions as a first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging and therapy needs. Assists in the department and its function. Assists in the scheduling of patients to the completion of the treatment and exams. Participates in Quality Improvement activities. Processing of incoming and outgoing referrals.
- High school level of knowledge.
- CPT, ICD 9 knowledge preferred
- Proficiency with the computer.
- Previous work experience in Radiology and Radiation Oncology experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
- Detail attentiveness required. Individual must be self-motivated and willing to self direct.
- Previous experience in health care environment preferred.
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy. Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints.
