Description
This is a full-time, direct placement for Main Enterprises, Inc.
SUMMARY:
Plumbing Mechanic collaborates with the Foreman to install and/or repair Plumbing equipment, components, piping systems and associated materials per the project plans and specifications while keeping safety a top priority in a commercial construction environment. Plumbing Foreman must also demonstrate the ability to understand and follow local codes finish a project on time and under budget.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Treat all people associated with Main Enterprises, both internally and externally, with respect, honesty and integrity always.
2. Work with a safe attitude promoting safe working practices.
3. Identify required tools and special equipment.
4. Install, repair, replace, copper, CPVC, and PEX water piping systems.
5. Install repair, replace cast iron and PVC drainage and vent piping.
6. Locate and mark positions for floor and wall penetrations as well as piping connections and plumbing fixtures.
7. Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment.
8. Install, repair and replace underground and aboveground storm sanitary, water and gas piping systems.
9. Install, repair and replace sinks, tubs, toilets, plumbing fixtures, etc.
10. Install, repair and replace water heaters.
11. Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
12. All installations must meet all applicable trade and building codes.
13. Other duties as assigned and required for complete plumbing systems.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Must possess a valid Connecticut driver's license
- High School or equivalent degree
- Relevant Connecticut trade license (P1 or P2)
- Possess or able to be trained for OSHA 10/30 certification
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, plans and specifications
- Willing to work independently or as part of a large team
- Attention to detail
- Execute and follow Company required documentation, paperwork including submittals, time sheets, daily reports, etc.
- Knowledge of plumbing & piping building code requirements
- Basic knowledge of complete plumbing system and how they work
- Knowledge of trade materials, tools, means & methods
- Reliable transportation
- Demonstrate safe use of trade related power and hand tools

Salary Description
$50,000 - $80,000/yr
