The HVAC Building Maintenance Worker installs, maintains, and repairs school ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipments to ensure full and productive use of district facilities. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services. To accomplish these tasks the HVAC Building Maintenance Worker must work closely with the staff and administration of the district.
Salary is commensurate with background and experience. Posting stays open until job is filled.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the central office (after employment offer is made).
- Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance.
- Completed HVAC training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship.
- Certification for handling refrigerants from Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Essential Functions: - Ability to maintain school HVAC in top condition to ensure full and productive use of district facilities.
- Ability to ensure all activities conforms to district guidelines.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with members of the school district and community.
- Ability to react to change and frequent interruptions in a productive and positive manner, and handle other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to operate all equipment and machinery appropriately as necessary.
- Ability to work to implement the vision and mission of the district.
