We arecurrently seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team andprovide exceptional services to our clients.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) will support the OccupationalTherapist in implementing treatment plans designed to help clients achievetheir therapeutic goals. The OTA will work with patients of all ages who may beexperiencing physical, emotional, or developmental challenges.
RESPONSBILITIES:
- Assist in the assessment and evaluation of patients under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the Occupational Therapist
- Educate clients and their families about therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Document patient care and progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, as well as relevant state and federal regulations
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: - Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Ability to lift and transfer patients as necessary
- Ability to perform physical activities, such as bending, standing, and reaching
