Job Description

The Internal Product Analytics team is a specialized Analytics team embedded within the Product Management organization at Datadog and acting as a force multiplier. With over thirty standalone products built on a single unified platform, the Internal Product Analytics team partners with Product leaders to sustain and accelerate the growth of our products, as well as ensure the best user experience for our customers.
As a Data Analyst on the Internal Product Analytics team, you will work closely with product managers, software engineers, data engineers, and product leadership to build critical datasets, conduct in-depth analyses, and provide actionable insights that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What you'll do

  • Work closely with Product Managers specializing in specific Datadog product areas to define success metrics and address critical product questions.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Metabase (our Business Intelligence tool) that deliver actionable visualizations, empowering Product Managers across Datadog to make strategic, data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct deep data analyses and hypothesis-driven investigations into internal data to identify areas for improvement and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Partner with Data Engineers to build and maintain curated data layers in dbt for product analytics needs.
  • Communicate findings effectively, influence key stakeholders, and serve as a trusted thought partner for the product, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Actively contribute to the Data Analyst Community and the Product & Engineering pod, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices.
Who You Are:
  • You have 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst performing data analysis and creating visualization using BI tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau.
  • You have a BA/BS/MS in Business Analytics, Statistics, Math or related scientific field or equivalent professional experience
  • You are fluent in writing analytical SQL and are familiar with data warehouses such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
  • You are a clear and concise communicator able to explain complex datasets or queries to non-technical stakeholders in understandable ways
  • You are driven to know "why" and have a natural curiosity and investigative mindset-willing to contribute ideas freely and to think outside of the box by balancing intuition and data.
  • You have experience working with large product data sets and have either used or are interested in learning dbt and Python
  • You are excited to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and thrive on both autonomy and collaboration.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships that it builds, the creativity it brings to the table, and the collaboration of being together. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our employees can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
Benefits and Growth:
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
  • Competitive global benefits
  • An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups)
  • The opportunity to be part of a growing data analyst community at Datadog

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.
