General Description:
The Turnaround (TAR) Field Engineer supports internal and external client needs by performing job requirements in support of Facility and Pipeline Projects including assisting with job planning and preparation for inspections and repairs during a shutdown including field coordination of resources and materials. This position requires the candidate be a Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 5 years experience.

  • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives. The Turnaround Coordinator has STOP work authority.
  • Participating in safety meetings, work safely, and maintain a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
  • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
  • Gain knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations as required.
  • Participate in START card, Toolbox Talk (TBT), pre and post project meetings.
  • Perform shop, field, and vehicle inspections.
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
  • Be a team player, striving for an interdependent, successful, and effective approach to meeting our vision, mission and business objectives.
  • Safely maintains equipment and supports facility & pipeline operations, including reading / interpreting schematic drawings (Process & Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID) and electrical), inspecting / monitoring equipment and maintaining operation / technical standards and/or governmental requirements.
  • Assists with Turnaround HSE Plan and overall site logistics including Parking Plan, Master Plot Plan for Cranes, etc.
  • Works closely with TAR Technician in the creation of job package creation to ensure the scope of work is captured and any specific instructions are documented.
  • Assists with facilitating Housekeeping and Quality Audits.
  • Assists with creating work permitting.
  • Assists with the coordination of multiple contractors and materials during project.
  • Acts as a liaison between contractors, TAR Operations, and client representatives.
  • Safely maintains equipment and supports facility & pipeline operations, including reading / interpreting schematic drawings (Process & Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID) and electrical), inspecting / monitoring equipment and maintaining operation / technical standards and/or governmental requirements.
  • Assists in managing the Turnaround within budget as well as processing RFI's, Change Orders, and Scope Change Additions.
  • Coordinates the return of unused materials and MRO.
  • Provides input and expertise in the creation of a details Turnaround Schedule.
  • Obtains additional resources and equipment if requested by Operations.
  • Updates and communicates daily progress through established protocols and reports.
  • Maintains general knowledge of work site locations, equipment, and permitting.
  • Participate in the development of project scopes and work plans.
  • Applies Safety in difficult and complex situations. Ability to recognize safety risks in operational activities and use appropriate measures to control mange identified risk.
  • Demonstrates the ability to monitor operations with minimal guidance. Ability to watch gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure equipment is working correctly.
  • Emergency Response Trained in emergency and incident response for Facilities and Pipelines.
  • Complete all applicable record keeping and documentation for the client as well as state & federal governmental regulatory agencies.
  • Will ensure work scopes are fully defined and proper resources and materials are in place to accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrate support of company and client environmental management system.
  • Participate in the CCI active list for spill responders.
  • Coach and train CCI crew members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language.
  • Knowledge of field instruments, control room instruments, computers, and start-up.
  • Ability to follow written directions, plans, and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to follow CCI Industrial Services, client safety programs, and regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 5 years experience
  • 3+ years of Maintenance, Turnaround, Construction, Planning or Scheduling. experience in an industrial setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and can learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to clearly speak, write, read, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
  • Able to follow written directions, plans, and blueprints.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • NSTC Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP and Ariba.
  • Familiarity with scheduling programs such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Projects.
  • Pipeline construction, Inspection, Maintenance experience in craft or supervision roles.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas Facility Operations with knowledge of production systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with Greater Prudhoe Bay Facilities and Pipelines.

Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors. This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard.   • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
  • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
