Job Title: Business Systems Analyst Location: 100% Remote or Newark, NJ - Hybrid Duration: 6+ Months Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in Fixed Income Asset Management to join our growing team. This individual will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders (portfolio managers, analysts, quants) and the technology team, ensuring that requirements are understood and met to support business objectives.
Desired Skills & Experience: - Experience with portfolio management systems (e.g., Aladdin or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with data management tools and reporting systems in an asset management context.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting fixed income asset management.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team.
- Support the implementation of fixed income front office systems and tools, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business expectations.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
- Work with project manager and cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within scope.
Qualifications: - Experience: 3-10 years of experience in a business analyst role within the financial services industry, with a focus on fixed income asset management.
Skills: - Strong understanding of fixed income products, including bonds, derivatives, and other related instruments.
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
Education: A degree in computer science, math, finance, economics, or related field. CFA, FRM, or related certifications a plus.
