  • Five or more years of architecture experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant.
  • Five or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, integration, solution or technical architecture, application development, or data management

  • Demonstrated knowledge in designing Restful APIs against industry best practices
  • Experience with Swagger/Open API specification
  • Understanding End to End API Lifecycle Design time and Runtime Aspects in an API gateway
  • Relevant experience in maintenance of API Lifecycle using API catalog tools.
  • Experience in REST web services, and other integration technologies.
  • Dene API strategy centered on business domains and associated set of composable applications.
  • Enforce API design is aligned to the enterprise API and domain strategy.
  • Define integration patterns (with POCs) for APIs, micro services (MS) architecture and event-driven architecture.
  • Define standards for APIs and event specifications.
  • Define standards for aligning APIs and micro services with enterprise level domain strategy.

Job description:
Position Summary:
The API Governance Architect is responsible for ensuring that APIs developed within Healthfirst meets modern integration practices. The role proactively and holistically works with the program delivery leaders managing architectural runway in support of enterprise initiatives by evolving strategy for API reuse, automation, and standards across delivery programs, channels, and B2B settings.
The role leads advancement of enterprise composability as a business strategy for leveraging modular technology in response to fast-changing business needs.
The role focuses on identifying technology trends to enable future-state business capabilities, and supporting business processes that, in turn, drive the organization's targeted business outcomes. This role facilitates architectural decisions through highly collaborative cross-functional architecture governance process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated knowledge in designing Restful APIs against industry best practices

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of architecture experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant.
  • Five or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, integration, solution or technical architecture, application development, or data management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in the use of enterprise architecture tools and techniques, such as strategy on a page, strategic planning, and business model canvas.
  • Knowledge of interoperability enabling technologies and platforms such as HL7, FHIR and X12.
  • Deep knowledge of business ecosystems, including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics within the healthcare sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health insurance business models, operating models, financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Expertise in product-centric operating models and scaling agile methodologies at the enterprise level.
  • Current with new and emerging technologies, with a keen ability to integrate them effectively into the business.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with the latest healthcare trends and integrate them into business strategies for optimized adoption and adaptability.
