Responsibilities:

Translates Gov. requirements into project plans from configuration to deployment and sustainment for a particular IT subject matter area (i.e. simple to complex systems). Assists other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for network improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software life-cycle management; and modeling and simulation.

Qualifications:

Connectivity Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Works independently; manages schedules to meet customer requirements. Meets with clients, stakeholders, and customers to define technical project scope, gathers Government requirements, and suggests policy recommendations and solutions.
  • Sustains operational dataflow systems.
  • Coordinates and performs analysis to identify and incorporate new technologies, produce new processing and reporting capabilities, integrate with other Government systems and/or processes, or upgraded or reconfigure Government systems.
  • Provides analysis of and implements innovative solutions to networking, security, and communications challenges. Implements enterprise-level networking or security products or similar projects.
  • Identifies project risks and determines the administrative or engineering means to mitigate the risk.
  • Develops and applied statistical methods, counterintelligence and computer forensic analysis techniques to troubleshoot and issues and resolve challenging network and analysis problems
  • Ten (10) years' experience as a network and/or systems engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required along with a technical Bachelors Degree. Four (4) additional years of experience can be considered without a degree.
