Salary Range: $62,400 - $72,800 (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)
Full Time Monday-Friday Days Exempt
GENERAL SCOPE: Serve as Marketing & Communications Specialist for a vibrant, growing and highly regarded continuing care retirement community. Develop and execute a variety of multi-media marketing and communications plans and tactics aligned with strategies to enhance the visibility of Jewish Home and its services, attract and retain residents and clients, and effectively communicate to internal and external audiences.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION :
  • Bachelor's degree required or master's degree preferred in communications, marketing or closely related field.
  • 5+ years professional marketing/communications experience in fast-paced environment required
  • Advertising agency and health care communications experience a plus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications team and department leaders to create and implement marketing communications plans and support initiatives that align with Jewish Home's brand and business goals. Monitor and report outcomes.
  • Create and/or coordinate engaging content for various platforms, including newsletters, nominations, speeches, video messages, presentations or other materials.
  • Coordinate the development of digital and printed marketing and communications materials.
  • Work with external PR and social media agencies.
  • Respond to website and social media comments/inquiries.
  • Coordinate events and promotional activities as required, requested or planned.
  • Represent Jewish Home at events, outreach initiatives or public speaking engagements.
  • Support communications for Jewish Home Foundation as well as departments, such as Human Resources.
  • Coordinate advocacy communications for New York State funding and regulatory initiatives.
  • Develop internal communications messages on Intranet or other channels.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital media, including social media, website content management systems and email marketing systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience working with ad agencies, graphic designers and other vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
