Qualifications VNE, LLC is looking for a TS/SCI Cleared Systems Administrator III
Minimum Qualifications: Education: - Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
Experience: - Seven (7) years with Master's or 11 years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
- Duties include installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
- Individual shall have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
- Individual shall be capable of training staff on software applicable to their position, assisting customers with information technology, monitoring system configuration (hardware and software), and providing instruction on computers and applications.
- TS/SCI level Clearance required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: - Dependent on task, individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual as applicable. Must have or be able to attain within 30 Days of assignment Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II certification.
Job Description: The Systems Administrator administers and supports daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers. Duties typically involve the installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation. This administrator will maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services. This Administrator trains staff on software applicable to their position, assists customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications. Certifications. Industry standards for certifications change often and should not be codified in position descriptions unless certain certifications are required for the specific position sought by a particular contract AND the certification is not likely to change during the contract development, competition, and award.
Essential Duties of the Job: - Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
- Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
- Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
- Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face
