Job Title : Audio-Visual & Information Technology (IT) Assistant
Reports to : Business Manager and/or Pastor
Location: St. William Church | Naples, Florida
Classification: Hourly/Nonexempt
Overview
Saint William Catholic Church is seeking a skilled and dedicated Audio-Visual IT Assistant. This role will be responsible for coordinating and enhancing all audiovisual aspects of our parish, with a focus on weekend live streaming of services and will technology systems, including computers, networks, internet, security systems, sound systems, and access entry systems. This role will also take in user requests and incidents via email, calls, and IMs and document all actions taken to resolve computer issues. Both on-site and remote technical support is offered via remote assistance tools and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer needs. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute live streaming of weekend Masses, special events, and other liturgical services.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and projectors.
  • Ensure high-quality audio and video output for both in-person and online audiences.
  • Setup new hire computers and peripherals.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot computers, networks, and internet systems used throughout the church facilities.
  • Maintains multi-function print/scan/fax devices, including consumable ordering and replacement.
  • Create and maintain SharePoint sites, Teams groups, and user MFA configurations.
  • Install and update software on user computers and servers.
  • Maintain hardware inventory and update as new devices are added and old devices are decommissioned.
  • Managing Office 365 users and online services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in audiovisual technology, computer networking, or a related filed is preferred.
  • Experience with live streaming, sound systems, AV equipment, and general IT systems.
  • Experience working in multi-site organizations, network setups and internet troubleshooting.
  • In-depth understanding of the entire MS Office suite, Windows 10, Office/Microsoft 365, and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in live streaming platforms (e.g.,OBS, YouTube Live, Facebook Live).
  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize daily workload.
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem solve quickly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to life and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Weekend availability required.
