Overview:
At Mahaska Health a Resource Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the Inpatient Services/Critical Care Unit, Birthing Center Services, and Emergency Services. Coordinates patient education and activities of interdisciplinary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Requirements include but are not limited to:
- A graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa (or) a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse able to work in the state of Iowa.
- Must be fully trained Inpatient Services/Critical Care Unit, Birthing Center Services, and Emergency Services departments.
- Required to be certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within one year of hire.
- Will be required to show proof of having completed Mandatory Reporter course at the time of hire or attend within 6 months of the start date.
- Required to be current in BLS (Basic Life Support) by the standards of the American Heart Association.
- Must adhere to all training requirements as mandated by Federal, State, and Professional licensure and regulatory standards.
- Understand and comply with the requirements of MHPs Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, all supporting policies for compliance, and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities.
- Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Practice policy and as requested by the supervisor.
- Consistently support the Compliance Program through personal example; the provision of day-to-day instruction and correction to employees regarding compliance-related issues; application of appropriate discipline as required for compliance violations; and ongoing monitoring of activities and work product in areas of responsibility with respect to compliance-related issues.
