This is a site-based Wind Technician opening for a wind farm site near Mount Pleasant, Michigan. This is a local position so no relocation assistance will be offered to non-local candidates. Although previous wind turbine maintenance experience is preferred, this opportunity is also available to mechanically/electrically inclined candidates with transferrable skills looking to join the wind industry.

Responsibilities

• Change gearbox oil in a designated area or wind field.
• Grease/torque wind turbines.
• Perform checks on turbines and repairing the problems.
• Replace mechanical components.
• Service blade and hub components as required by turbine type.
• All other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required Experience

Strong mechanical skillset and ability to quickly pickup new mechanical concepts

Ability to climb towers daily/work at heights

Strong safety mindset

Preferred Experience

1+ years of maintenance experience on Wind turbines or associated equipment

Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $22.00 per hour
