Located in the heart of Portland, Whole Circle Pediatric Therapy specializes in treatment for sensory processing, regulation, motor, executive function disorders, and feeding/picky eating. We currently offer occupational and speech therapy, and plan to expand to include additional services such as mental health and literacy. We are committed to paying employees appropriately for all of their expertise in patient care, and providing paid time for therapists to continue to learn and grow. Duties:
- Develop treatment plan and goals that are individualized to meet each child’s needs and based on child/family needs
- Involve parents in treatment sessions for parent coaching and home programming implementation
- Correspond with child’s teacher, other therapists, and doctors as needed to ensure collaboration of care
- Mentor and collaborate with other therapists and occupational therapy fieldwork students as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in occupational therapy
- Eligibility for or possession of current Oregon license
- One - two years experience preferred
- Current CPR or ability to obtain
- Must pass a criminal history background check

- Must be playful and creative to engage child in therapy sessions that are child led

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Utilization of a strength based approach to working with individuals
- Time management skills
- Acceptance of client and staff diversity
- Ability to work as a part of a small team with flexibility to adapt to the needs of the clinic
- Strict adherence to HIPAA policies and procedures
Physical Job Demands:
- Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in gym spaces that involve setting up and taking down suspended equipment. While working with children, employees will frequently need to perform therapy on mats and may be on their knees or sitting on the floor. Must be able to physically assist children as needed for part of their treatment plan with climbing and other physically active skills during scheduled working hours.
