About the Role:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) plays a vital role in supporting surgical teams during cardiovascular procedures. They prepare and maintain sterile environments, organize and sterilize surgical instruments, and assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during operations. CSTs ensure patient safety by following strict infection control protocols and collaborating with the surgical team to anticipate needs throughout the procedure. They may also participate in pre- and post-operative equipment setup and inventory management to ensure seamless surgical operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room by setting up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for cardiovascular procedures.
- Hand instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgeons and anticipate their needs during procedures.
- Ensure the operating field remains sterile throughout the procedure, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Assist in positioning patients and ensuring their safety and comfort during surgery.
- Operate and manage specialized cardiovascular surgical equipment, such as heart-lung
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and prepare the operating room for subsequent procedures. machines and monitoring devices.
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure smooth surgical workflows.

Position: Travel CVOR Technologist
Location: Las Vegas, NV 89109
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days || 7:00am to 5:30pm, || 40 hours
Weekly Gross: $3,515 ($45/hr + $1,715 Stipend)
Qualifications & Certifications Required:
- CST First Assist Certification.
- BLS Certification.
- Associate Degree in Surgical Technology
Skills & Experience Required:
- At least 2 to 3 years of Cardiovascular first-aid experience
- Open Heart and Vascular experience
- Must have experience acting as a FA in on-pump Cardiac cases
- Must have Endoscopic Vein Harvesting experience
Preferred Skills:
