Job Title: LOA and Workers Compensation Specialist (Ongoing Contract, Hybrid)
Location: Lancaster, CA (Hybrid - One day a week in office)
Compensation: $28/hr
LHH is seeking a highly skilled LOA and Workers Compensation Specialist to join our client's team on an ongoing contract basis. This hybrid role requires the candidate to work one day a week in our Lancaster office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling FMLA and CFRA leave in a high-volume, fast-paced environment on a national level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer leave of absence (LOA) and workers' compensation programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to benefits administration, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, ERISA, HIPAA, and Workers' Comp.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all leave and workers' compensation cases.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding leave policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless leave administration and return-to-work processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- 3-4 years of experience in handling FMLA and CFRA leave in a high-volume, fast-paced environment on a national level.
- Completion of specialized certification or training on leave administration required.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws pertinent to benefits administration, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, ERISA, HIPAA, and Workers' Comp.
- Experience working in a large organization with 1000+ employees.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
- Proficient in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and databases.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
