Our client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their team in a manufacturing environment. This role is based onsite in Houston, TX (downtown) and offers a competitive salary.
They are looking for a strong professional with 5+ years of HR experience who can lead and train personnel, manage daily HR operations, and implement change effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to command respect while fostering positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and administer HR policies, procedures, and compliance.
- Manage day-to-day HR tasks, including payroll, recruiting, employee relations, and reporting.
- Serve as a resource for Leads, Supervisors, and Managers, providing guidance on HR best practices.
- Conduct investigations, address employee concerns, and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Support the transition from Paycom to UKG and maintain accurate HRIS records.
- Mentor and supervise an HR Specialist/Receptionist.
- Participate in leadership meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and manage personnel effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for daily HR operations.
- Experience in payroll management and HRIS systems (e.g., Paycom, UKG).
- Bilingual (preferred but not required).
- Demonstrated ability to handle employee relations with a firm yet approachable demeanor.
