Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a gut renovation project for a high-end residential property in Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of interior renovations, project management, and NYC building codes. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, from inception through completion. Client Details Our client is a respected Manhattan-based general contractor specializing in high-end residential projects with some commercial work included. With a strong portfolio of gut renovations and interior build-outs, the company is known for its attention to detail, commitment to quality, and delivering exceptional results on time and within budget. Description As Project Manager, you will lead and manage all phases of the gut renovation project, from pre-construction to completion. Collaborate closely with architects, designers, subcontractors, and the client to ensure the project vision is realized. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that all deliverables are met. Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring work is completed according to design specifications, safety standards, and NYC building codes. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of work. Handle any issues or delays promptly, finding solutions to keep the project on track. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing project updates and managing expectations. Ensure all permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements are met. Manage the financial aspects of the project, including invoicing, cost tracking, and reporting. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship. Profile Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (preferred but not required with relevant experience). 5 years of experience as a Project Manager for interior renovation projects, specifically gut renovations, in NYC. Brownstone Gut Renovation experience is a plus. Strong understanding of NYC building codes and permitting processes. Proven track record of managing high-end residential projects. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project). Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. OSHA certification is a plus.
