Taylor Farms is hiring a Transportation Manager.

Position Reports To : Plant President

Job Duties Summary : As the Transportation Manager, you’ll oversee and coordinate the movement of goods and people by planning, managing, and optimizing transportation operations, ensuring efficient delivery schedules, cost-effective routing, and compliance with safety and DOT regulations, while also supervising transportation staff and managing logistics to meet customer needs and company goals.

Essential duties and Responsibilities

1. Planning and coordinating freight deliveries and pick-ups

2. Tracking shipments and updating status of goods

3. Communicating with clients, shipping agents and freight carriers

4. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and handling any customs-related issues

5. Resolving any freight delivery issues such as delays or mishandlings

6. Preparing and managing documentation related to freight transport

7. Ensuring accurate freight charges and billing

8. Developing strategies to improve service levels, increase operational efficiency and reduce costs

9. Monitor vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and driver performance to ensure optimal fleet operations

1 Ensure adherence to all transportation regulations, safety standards, and DOT requirements

1 Completes other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

1. Must be familiar with computer use and programs such as Microsoft Suite (word, excel, power point, etc.)

2. 10+ years of Transportation Management experience

3. Excellent communication skills

4. Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance

5. Ability to manage budgets and optimize costs

6. Team player

7. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

8. Leadership and team management abilities

9. Active CO CDL

1 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation

$80,000-$100,000/year depending on experience.
