Purpose & Scope: This crucial role will be responsible for leading the quality team while ensuring the production of high-quality parts and components through proper measurement and testing practices.
Essential Duties May Include:
· Formatting quality plans, contract reviews, and launching new products to the floor
· Providing timely communication and delivery of test reports to customers
· Investigating and resolving quality issues by implementing corrective actions
· Developing and controlling inspection plans for molding and secondary operations
· Supporting and enforcing the ISO 9001:2015 management system
· Utilizing and programming the CMM, Micro-Vu, optical comparators, and hand-held measuring equipment
· Assisting team with all quality tests
· Train, manage, and effectively lead team of quality personnel
Requirements:
- Three plus (3+) years of Quality Assurance experience within an injection molding environment
- Proven experience in testing plastics injection molding products
- Bachelors degree or higher (preferred)
- Experience with correction actions (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone etc.)
- Previous experience with internal and external ISO Audits
- Previous blueprint experience and GD&T knowledge
- FAI (First Article Inspection) & PPAP understanding
- Prior programming and use of PC-DMIS for CMM
