To support legal functions of Delta in the Americas region.

Job Description:
As Employment Counsel, you will help develop our employment legal strategy, ensuring we stay ahead in a constantly evolving landscape.
What you’ll do at Delta:
- Provide legal advice, counseling and support to Americas Human Resources organization on employment issues, including hiring, performance management, employee relations, disciplinary actions, terminations, restructures, compensation, benefits, diversity and inclusion, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Draft, revise, and update employment and benefits-related documentation and agreements as needed
- Advise on internal investigations and recommend appropriate practices
- Identify and operationalize compliance-based requirements and build scalable employment-related policies, playbooks, templates, and self-serve tools in collaboration with partner teams
- Identify and address developing employment legal requirements and potential future legal risks to the business
- Develop and deliver training programs for HR, management, and employees on topics such as harassment prevention, employee rights, and legal compliance. Educate internal stakeholders on employment law updates and best practices.
- Support employment-related dispute/litigation including strategy, discovery, drafting, and coordination with outside counsel
- Ability to support commercial contract review as a percentage of job duties
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing clear and practical legal advice.

Additional Expertise
- Government contracts and GSA, DOE, DOD procurement processes experience is a plus.
- Commercial contract negotiation
Required Qualifications
- JD Degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Membership in good standing with at least one State Bar.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant U.S. legal in-house and/or law firm experience.
