Senior IT Security Analyst

Full-Time

Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite)

Salary: $110,000 - $115,000

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate alerts to determine if further investigation or customer action is necessary.
• Perform proactive threat hunting using network and host data within customer environments.
• Conduct investigations based on customer requests, providing additional context and recommended actions.
• Support customers in investigating and responding to incidents throughout the incident response process.

Required Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document and communicate findings, escalate critical incidents, and interact with customers.
• Experience using ticketing systems for tracking (e.g., JIRA, Remedy, ServiceNow).Proficiency in analyzing packet captures/data and logs to perform incident response and identify potential network compromises.
• Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite, security architecture, and common TTPs (tactics, techniques, and procedures) used by threat actors.
• In-depth knowledge of incident response methodologies and reporting.
• Experience analyzing log and packet data in a SIEM (e.g., RSA NetWitness, Azure Sentinel, Splunk).

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience in triage/incident response in enterprise environments and forensic analysis of logs and packet captures to identify malicious artifacts.
• Advanced security certifications (e.g., CEH, GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, GCTI, GCIA, GREM, GPEN, GFNA, OCSP).
• Experience in mentoring and leading teams, including guiding other analysts and coordinating team efforts for problem-solving.
