Job Title: Associate Attorney (L/T Litigation)

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000

Location: Essex / Passaic County, NJ

Our client, a 150-Attorney strong & respected law firm in New Jersey, is seeking a skilled Litigator with 3+ years of experience to become an integral part of their litigation team. This role is focused on Landlord-Tenant matters, with frequent court appearances primarily in Essex County, NJ. This firm is in a strong position of expansion, with their executive plans being to further scale the firm, through organic & strategic growth plans.

This role will be instrumental in assisting with one of their newly secured clients, who are bringing a substantial chunk of revenue creation, representing Landlords in L/T matters across NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in Landlord-Tenant disputes, including trials, motions, and mediations

Handle court appearances and negotiate settlements efficiently and effectively

Prepare and analyze legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and agreements

Provide strategic advice to clients on compliance with New Jersey landlord-tenant laws and

regulations

Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with team members

What they need:

Admission to practice law in NJ

A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, ideally with a concentration in Landlord-Tenant matters

Exceptional courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities

Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
