Job Description

Optomi, in partnership with an innovative and fast-growing software company within the industrial industry, is seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to support the Agile Center of excellence during their observation period of their agile teams and Agile Release Train.

Experience of the right candidate:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience leading an Agile Release Train.
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, especially for large audiences.
  • Pragmatic problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to guide teams effectively.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on team success.
  • Positive and engaging personality to foster collaboration and alignment across teams.


Responsibilities of the right candidate:

  • Facilitate and coordinate Program Increment (PI) Planning, including readiness and execution.
  • Establish and maintain PI and Sprint calendars.
  • Measure and report on Agile Release Train (ART) performance across PIs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Foster cross-team collaboration and communication.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate dependencies and risks within the ART.
  • Facilitate Agile/Scaled Agile ceremonies such as Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, Mid-PI check-ins, and Retrospectives.
  • Cultivate Communities of Practice to promote skill-building and knowledge-sharing within the organization.
  • Assist teams in maintaining proper workflow and ensuring information is accurately entered into systems for tracking and progress.
  • Champion the improvement of Agile practices and processes based on feedback and observations.
