Job Description:
We are seeking a Research Associate to support our Viral Research team. The role involves performing cell culture techniques, viral propagation, and in vitro assays to support viral stock evaluation and analytical experiments. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate data, assisting in experimental design, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful research outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cell culture techniques (primary cells, continuous cell lines) and assist with viral propagation and analytical POC experiments.
- Execute in vitro assays (e.g., viral titration, PCR, ELISA, virus neutralization) to evaluate and qualify viral stocks.
- Record data and results in laboratory notebooks and generate documentation (e.g., method protocols, research reports, SOPs).
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and follow safety protocols for handling BSL2 organisms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, clinical, regulatory, and quality control) to support viral research initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
- 0-3 years of laboratory experience (viral research, cell culture preferred).
- Familiarity with in vitro assays and BSL2 organisms.
- Experience in primary avian cells and continuous cell lines.
- Experience with viral assays (e.g., PCR, ELISA, virus neutralization).
