PSA Architects work on projects across the United States inclusive of nation brands and bespoke projects. Markets covered include Retail, Office Space, Fitness, Medical, Restaurants, Animal Care, and Brand Development.
Our current projects consist of 10 Nation boutique fitness brands, 4 National restaurant brands, corporate offices, mixed residential development, animal care facilities, event centers, and community markets. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Architectural Associate role located in Cincinnati, OH. The Architectural Associate will be responsible for tasks such as architecture, submittals, construction drawings,
- Produce schematic design packages (Space Planning, Zoning/Code analysis)
- Design Development
- Production of construction documents
- Renderings
- Client communications
- Permit processing
Qualifications
- A positive, creative, and professional approach to project deliverables.
- General knowledge of Tenant Finish Design Packages: interior materials and finishes, floor plans, furniture plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, interior details, millwork details, ceiling details etc.
- Understanding of different construction types and detailing
- High attention to details
- Effective interpersonal skill and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills.
- Technically creative and open- minded
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of architectural experience preferably within the commercial, hospitality, health clubs, office, retail, animal care, and restaurant industry
- Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems, and site requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCad and Microsoft Office is required. Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape or equal, Photoshop, Illustrator is preferred. Understanding of plumbing, HVAc system, and electrical is a plus!
