• Orlando, FL- preference is working in the office M-F, some flexibility with working from home is ok, but it is not a hybrid position.

• Provides leadership in the department, helping to build and maintain strong core capability in robust design and development ensuring effective and efficient results from team
• Works collaboratively with PMO to develop estimates and build and oversee execution programs as required
• Supports all phases of the development process working with engineers to develop technical solutions and architectures, working with systems engineers to develop requirements, leading a multi-discipline development team to model, design, and test new products
• Providing technical leadership to help resolve production issues, post-delivery failures, as well as obsolescence and supply chain issues
• Leverages broad based technical background with the ability to lead multi-disciplined technical teams
• May be responsible for TDP cost and schedule management and oversee supplier engagement for the lifecycle of both development and sustainment programs
• Develops the estimates and prepares plans Oversees the engineering work from kickoff to closeout of task
• Project engineering is a specialized field within engineering that focuses on planning, executing and managing projects. It combines technical expertise with project management skills to successfully achieve project objectives.
• Project engineering ensures that the technical management processes of a project are implemented and achieved with the necessary rigor. Technical management processes are utilized to:
• Establish and execute technical plans for the project
• Manage information across the technical team
• Assess technical progress against system, product, or service plans
• Control technical tasks through to completion
• Support the decision-making process
• The level of rigor and formality applied to these processes depends on the agreements, as well as the risk and complexity of the project.
• Project engineering demands a robust understanding of the project life cycle and deliverables to guarantee that plans and performance criteria are adequately aligned for project success.
• Typically, project engineers possess extensive engineering experience, particularly in the development and execution of engineering projects.
• This expertise, combined with systems engineering skills and proficiency in mechanical, software, and electrical integration, helps develop the technical knowledge required to ensure that project deliverables adhere to the agreement's specifications.
• Furthermore, this experience equips project engineers with the proficiency, management capabilities, and holistic understanding necessary to effectively oversee and integrate complex systems, leading to the successful delivery of engineering initiatives.
