Russell Tobin's client is hiring a Catering Local Field Operator / Catering Captain

Location: Remote (Local to CA only)
Pay rate : $35-$39/hr
Description:
This role will provide local support for Catering Golden Market/Catering Captain orders and support the ordering and delivery experience for our clients. They will provide concierge order experience, merchant order management and rapid mx acquisition and in person delivery support. This role will be responsible for the execution and success of our highest priority orders. This role might required to go into the restaurants or the client that placed the order especially if it is a large order, they will be reimbursed for any travel that might be needed.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients to manage and confirm orders.
- Build catering orders for external approval. Place orders and support necessary adjustments.
- Handle approximately 15 orders per week per person.
- Coordinate orders with merchants outside the scope of existing products.
- Collaborate with merchants to ensure orders meet client needs (e.g., adequate food quantities).
- Facilitate catering orders from merchants not previously onboarded into the Local Operations (LO) program.
- Act as a client-facing representative of client, accompanying staffs to high-stakes deliveries to ensure smooth execution.
- Provide support beyond the staffs’ scope (e.g., purchasing utensils last minute).
- Assist in training and onboarding new staffs into the catering program.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of relative experience.
- Experience in client-facing roles such as restaurant, catering, or account management.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and reach a desired outcome.
- Strong work ethic, flexible schedule, and a proactive approach.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an eye for design (e.g., order setup and menu presentation).
- Operations background would be a plus.
