Our busy national practice is seeking to add an experienced associate to our Consumer Department. While we prefer candidates based in our Philadelphia office, we welcome applications from attorneys admitted to practice in any U.S. jurisdiction. The ideal candidate will have experience in consumer privacy, data breach, and consumer protection matters, with a particular focus on financial services. Our firm is currently in a hybrid work setting (i.e., two days working in the office and three days working remotely), a long-term plan to maintain a hybrid work environment. A fully remote arrangement will be considered depending upon the residence of qualified candidates.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead existing litigation, including discovery and motion practice.
• Prepare cases for trial by overseeing discovery, performing research, and negotiating favorable settlements when possible.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft motions.
• Present case strategy at trials in complex class action litigation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates should have 5+ years of meaningful litigation and deposition experience, preferably with plaintiff-side class actions. Consumer privacy and consumer protection experience preferred.
• Candidates should have strong academic credentials as well as robust analytical, research, writing, and organizational skills.
• Candidates must have a strong work ethic and an ability to manage and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Candidates should be licensed to practice law in at least one United States jurisdiction, preferably Washington D.C., California, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, or Illinois. However, licensure in these jurisdictions are not required.
