What This Position is All About


Under the direction of the VP, Travel & Tourism Strategy, the Manager, Travel and Tourism- LA is responsible for supporting the creation and execution of strategic sales efforts to attract top clientele to maximize sales for Saks Fifth Avenue as the premiere shopping destination. The Manager will operate under a clearly defined return on investment goals for sales and client acquisition and development and will use a proactive outreach to drive sales through appointments at the Fifth Avenue Club in strategic store locations and luxury hotels with strong customer engagement.

  • You Also Have:


    • Min of 2-3 years of sales experience on property or regional hotel sales or travel industry (luxury strongly preferred)
    • Foreign language skill(s) a plus
    • Ability to engage and influence others to participate in all store marketing activities
    • Self-motivated and possessing a demonstrated ability to meet/exceed sales targets and report to NY-based VP
    • Experience in hotel sales or travel agency required; luxury industries strongly preferred
    • Creativity in developing event ideas and new ways to connect customers with associates
    • Strong partnership skills for use in both internal and external communities to develop and execute all store marketing programs
    • Planning, implementation and execution skills with excellent attention to detail required
    • Budget management skills to ensure budget tracking in line with plans/projections and ROI
    • Proficiency in technology and social media
    • College degree (Business or Communications preferred)
  • As The Manager, Travel and Tourism You Will:


    • Design quarterly action plans to drive referrals from travel and hotel partners for high-end clients to shop at the Fifth Avenue Club at Saks Fifth Avenue in key stores and hotel locations.
    • Be customer centric, intuitively creative, detail oriented, proactive and solution oriented
    • Build a referral network of leads from Focus hotel partners by building awareness of Saks private shopping, special promotions, in person sales calls, weekly check-ins with the concierge sales team and store visits
    • Leverage the Saks travel partners to grow sales by identifying the top producing advisors; conducting in person sales calls, zoom presentations; designing promotional plans to stimulate new leads; encouraging site visits; and designing high impact personal shopping events.
    • Ultilize existing programs and partnerships with Saks in Store Experiences to optimize efforts and grow sales.
    • Collaborate with SFA marketing to support the creation of digital brochures, videos, presentation templates, and social selling and clienteling guidelines
    • Provide daily, weekly and monthly tracking of sales leads and sales appointments vs. goals
    • Build a growing database of decision makers and sales influencers for SFA shopping referrals
    • Support the development of best practices for sales and servicing of partners and high-end clientele
    • Engage with internal SFA stakeholders to collaborate and identify new business opportunities and stay abreast of tourism trends for US local, regional and key international feeder markets
    • Ad hoc responsibilities as needed

  • Salary and Other Compensation :


    The starting salary for this position is between $81,000.00 – $90,000.00 annually . Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, skills, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.


    This position is also eligible for bonus.
