Job Description

Seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of medium-to-large commercial accounts, with a primary focus on real estate. This role will involve managing approximately 10-20 accounts, each generating an average of $25,000 in revenue, with the potential for significant growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial accounts, primarily in real estate, ensuring consistent service and account growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing expert advice and delivering top-tier customer service to ensure high retention rates.
  • Collaborate with producers on both new and renewal business, providing technical guidance, addressing coverage concerns, and conducting risk assessments.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of policies, coverages, forms, accounting methods, and claims procedures to meet client needs effectively.
  • Leverage the Applied (EPIC) system for efficient account management, alongside Microsoft Office Suite for day-to-day tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with underwriters and clients, negotiating and resolving coverage issues using strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, maintain a current insurance license, and pursue professional designations (e.g., CIC, CISR, CPCU, ARM, CRM).


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience managing commercial accounts, preferably with a focus on real estate.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverages, claims procedures, and rating systems.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with underwriters and insured clients.
  • Proficiency in the Applied (EPIC) system and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • A valid insurance license is required, and professional certifications (such as CIC, CISR, CPCU, ARM, CRM) are preferred.
