Role: Senior Business Systems Analyst

Location: Durham, NC- onsite 3 days a week

MUST:

• 3-8 years of experience in a BA or BSA role
• SQL (must be super strong with pulling data in SQL)
• Very strong with SQL queries
• Background coming from financial services or insurance industry
• STEM degree
• Strong with excel
• Strong with data analysis (investigative of data, problem with a customer policy i.e. this person needs to go query the database, grab that policy, and be able reference a product spec sheet- seeing something going on here and go in and investigate that to find the logic)
• Experience writing SOP's
• Strong communication and ability to answer production questions for the business and triage issues

DAY TO DAY:

• The Business Systems Analyst analyzes user’s requirements and high-level system architectures to develop system requirement specifications
• The position is responsible for collaborating with business and product teams to capture and translate requests into system specifications in the form of user stories, epics, and development tasks
• Participates in the software development lifecycle – working alongside software engineers to ensure the software solution meets business goals and objectives
• Acts as a liaison between other project and program areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues
• Facilitating the complex process of understanding business needs and establishing an understanding of how technology solutions may meet those needs
