We are hiring passionate professionals for the S&OP Consultant position at our mill in Pine Bluff, Arkansas

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive S&OP Consultant to join our operations team and help shape the future of our sales and operations planning processes. This role will act as a key interface between production and sales, ensuring alignment of demand forecasts with operational capacity to meet customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in S&OP, with experience in manufacturing or paper-related industries being a plus.

This position requires someone with an open mindset, ready to design and refine processes inherited from the recent Suzano Packaging's acquisitions while driving collaboration among teams.

Key Responsibilities

Demand & Supply Coordination

• Act as the main liaison between sales, production, and supply chain, ensuring seamless alignment between customer demands and operational capacity.
• Analyze and reconcile customer demand with the production capabilities of one paper machine and four extrusion lines, as well as three additional extrusion lines in Waynesville.
• Develop and adjust production schedules to optimize resource utilization and ensure timely order fulfillment, considering domestic and export market needs.

S&OP Process Management

• Design, implement, and continuously improve S&OP processes, ensuring efficient collaboration between sales and production teams.
• Lead S&OP meetings, facilitating cross-functional communication and decision-making.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of S&OP processes and identify improvement opportunities.

Inventory & Resource Management

• Oversee inventory planning for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, balancing stock levels to minimize waste and meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with customer service and supply chain teams to enhance inventory turnover and on-time delivery.

Process Design & Optimization

• Evaluate and redesign legacy processes from the recent Suzano Packaging's acquisitions to improve efficiency, data integration, and workflow.
• Implement solutions to streamline operations and reduce lead times, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Build strong relationships with internal teams, including production, sales, customer service, and supply chain, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Provide actionable insights and regular updates to senior management on S&OP performance and process enhancements.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience

• Proven experience in S&OP within manufacturing industries, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in the paper industry.
• Solid background in demand forecasting, production planning, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with process design and optimization in a dynamic environment.

Skills

• Proficiency in S&OP and ERP tools (e.g., SAP).
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, particularly in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
